magical moments with my girl

My little girl has left for her summer vacation with her dad...

for longer than she has even been gone!

Mommy is planning on staying busy with shoots, friends and family,

and hopefully some travel if I can tie down a place!

Yesterday was so fun just being together, and we ended up

in my bathroom with her playing makeup artist.

She absolutely delights in painting my face a myriad of bright colors!

Britain Family shoot

I had the pleasure of photographing a wonderful family yesterday. They all had fun together and laughed at each other and I definitely joined in on the fun! Shoots like that don't seem like work at all... The weather was a mixture of over cast with some sunshine here and there so we got a mixture of lighting in the photos. I trooped them all over the property we were at and they were great sports about it!

Weekend in Ft. Collins with family

My daughter loves to travel with my sisters kids, so we all spent the weekend in cowboy territory. Very simple time that was a lot of fun. Lots of old buildings and torn down barns that I would love to have a shoot at so maybe in the future I will have to head back to the "country". The girls ran through corn fields and got soaked in water fixtures at the park. A nice meal and wine finished our evening off and it turned out to be a great time.

Vintage props

I'm so excited about collecting old things to use in shoots. And, honestly, I really just have to shop around my house and I have so much already. My style for decorating is definitely vintage/shabby chic so it makes it fun deciding what to use! here are just a few things I am thinking about for some future sets.

Inspired

A friend gave me a beautiful pink bouquet today. I was inspired to draw the thank you card while playing with my daughter, and it was a lot of fun.
